I'll I want for Christmas is my 2 first teeth!

We want to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year. The holiday season is here and we hope you enjoy all of the festivities with your family and friends. Sean and I always create New Year’s resolutions and goals. I am looking forward to 2009 and what this next year has to bring both personally and as a family! Payton will be turning 1 in just a few short months too. We still can’t believe how time is flying by!!

In this past week, Payton has gotten her very first tooth. (actually 2 at one time) She has one coming in on the top and one on the bottom. It only took 10 months for a tooth sighting!!!! (hahaha) Also, yesterday she walked for the first time! She took around 8 steps by herself to walk to me! We couldn’t believe it; we were so excited! We are baby-proofing the house and trying to make sure it is safe for her....she is growing fast!

Merry Christmas & a Happy New Year to all!!!

It’s Christmas Time…..

I can’t believe how quickly the holidays have snuck up on us this year. It was Thanksgiving, then Sean’s birthday, and then Christmas is now just right around the corner! …….Yikes!

Payton had her very first picture with Santa Claus!!! We took it in Fashion Island with Grandma Pam and Grandpa Steve. She loved Santa Claus and he gave her a very nice coloring book. (to chew on! Hahaha) I have a feeling Christmas is going to one of her favorite holidays. The Christmas tree they set up is amazing too. It is the tallest Christmas tree in the United States and stands over 100 feet! It has over 17,000 lights and ornaments, and weighs approximately 20,000 lbs. She loved all of the lights and kids gathered around it.

Happy Birthday Babe!

On December 12th, my sweet husband turned the ripe age of 34!!!! However, as most of you know he is still 13 at heart. (heheheh) We had a lovely dinner with is father and his wife Melissa at one of our favorite seafood restaurants. I planned a nice day of golf for him and his buddies at Eagle Glen golf course the next day. Sean is the best father in the world....Payton truly is her father's daughter. I am so blessed to have such a loving and devoted husband!!!! I love you babe! :-)

On the same day, little Presley turned the BIG 1!!! Yahoooo!!! Our great friend’s Rick and Jill had their lovely daughter on December 12th just 1 year ago. We can’t believe she is already 1. Payton met Presley at Hoag Hospital when she was just 2 days old so they were close from the very start! Happy Birthday Press – we love you! This is a picture of the girls when Payton was just 1 month old and Presley was just over 3 months old...…….best buds in their twin outfits.

Let's give thanks!

We had a lovely Thanksgiving this year over at Pam’s house (Sean’s mom). We celebrated with her side of the family and good friends! We had a great time catching up with the Bower and Cuzzo families. Payton loved all of the people around her. She got into Steve’s magazines and ripped out a few hundred pages and did about 16 laps around the kitchen in high speed!!! (hahaha) She is so active now; we are literally chasing her!

It was a great first Thanksgiving with our little boo. I attached a few pictures below of the festivities.

Grandma plays with Payton by the stairs......
Payton checks out all the new faces.....

Sean and Trish team up to cut the Turkey...or just eat it! hahahahahaha

Great grandparents were in attendance....Barbara, Eddie, Gene, and George

9 Months and Rockin'

Our little Payton is 9 months old this week! She just went for her check up with the doc and he said she is doing great! She is in the 97 % in her height and weight now.....crazy! She is so different than just 2 months ago..........She is standing on her own for a few seconds, crawling faster than we walk, and took her very first step all by herself last night!!!!! Her fiery personality is coming out now too; just like her mom! (yikes!)

Her favorite things to do are:

1. She loves to play "chase" and she is so fast now we literally are chasing after her! (hehehe) The picture below was taken while we were in pursuit.........

2. She loves to climb up the stairs at the speed of light. (while we are close behind her of course!) We have to get the gates put up stat.....baby proofing, stage 97 is ahead!

3. She loves to stand up and jump around using her activey gym as her helper...it is teaching her balance and coordination. She watches her favorite show on Sprout and jumps around to the music!
4. Walks with Fabiola (our nanny) are one of her favorite things to do when mom and dad are at work. Our nanny has been great with Payton; she sings to her in Spanish and is teaching her about different material textures right now. This is our boo boo suited up in her jumpsuit from Michaelyn & Mike.
5. Bath time is always a good time for Payton....she gets to play in the water spout and makes a mess of course!

Grandma E. got Payton this super cute pink beenie for winter time....she is all geared up for Thanksgiving and Christmas!

Looking Back......

I was looking through my pictures of Payton and I can't believe she was this small. This is Payton on Easter this year; she is 1 month old....! She slept almost the entire day I remember. She has a really cute outfit on underneath that blanket but when she woke up from her slumber and I got her out of her car seat....she had pooped through the entire thing! (hahahah)

Payton is fast asleep in her car seat over at John & Stacey's house.....

This is Payton later on in the day on Easter...in her new change of clothes! (he he)

Payton & Presley in their matching outfits....best baby buds! Presley is just 10 weeks older

Payton loved to sleep right on Dad's chest....what a great father!

Payton’s 1st Halloween

Our little P had a great 1st Halloween! She was really tired that evening so we just took her around our neighborhood. All of our neighborhood kids were decked out and were over playing with Payton. Our little flower loved seeing all of the kids and was trying to eat all of the candy she got! (with the wrappers on! YIKES) No candy for Payton this year! Hahahahah

Our neighbor Jason also turned 40 that evening so we all had a great time over at his house…..thank goodness our camera died by that point! Hahahahaha
His wife did a great job decorating their house and supplying all of this fantastic food! Hats off to Tami….she is on top of her game!

Payton loved playing with her pumpkins!

"Heh, why are you taking my picture?"

Playing outside with Fabiola....

Never wake a sleeping baby….

Unless you want to take pictures! (ha ha ha!) Sean and I crack up every night when Payton sleeps. She moves so much in her sleep; she is literally in 265 positions each night. She is so cute when she is sleeping we decided we had to take a few pictures. These are her two favorite positions: on her back with her hands behind her head & on her side. (my little “moom boom”)

It’s almost Halloween! Happy B-day Mia….

The kids are already dressing up! Over the weekend we attended Mia’s birthday party and all of the kids got suited up in their Halloween costumes! It was so cute to see all of the babies and kids together dressed up. Payton was so cute in her little flower costume; it was a little warm but it will be perfect on Halloween when it’s nice and cool! We can’t believe it will be Payton’s 1st Halloween!!!

We loved all of the kid’s costumes:

Payton > Flower
Presley > Pumpkin
Madi > Fairy
Trevor > Dinosaur
Donovan > Fireman
Mia > Little Red Riding Hood
Nikki > Party Pooper (not really, it’s just a onesie!)
